Month's Wage

Unbridled joy is what it amounts up to. Work and Word. The combination of labor based on the principles of life with God produces the exhilaration of abundant living. A month's worth seems like a year of paid vacation. Ahh, bliss. Divine days.

Nile Virus

When it is time to demonstrate God's sovereign power, God reveals the fiat of His words. He speaks, it happens. There are no hindrances to what God wills and speaks. The tumor is gone, malignant or benign. No X-rays. No biopsies needed. No fees.

Kindness Quotient

Kindness comes from the overflow of one's heart. There is a kind of good that is manufactured and is betrayed by its crudeness. The genuine article sparkles with luminous grace. It comes from God and is packaged with his breath.

Force of Praise

All creation is commanded by design to praise the Creator. When praise abounds, the circulatory system runs with all pistons steaming on full gear. Praise does not depend on the weather channel. It must take place because it has to take place.

Light the Dark

The Covenant God never forgets his commitment to the poor. In their helplessness, God provides boundaries and a lift that helps them live another day, and then another one, and then ... infinity. God is faithful amidst the darkness.

Own Cistern

I drink free from the the overflowing supply of God's pipeline. I trek through the valleys and chase the wind in the aromatic garden with faithful abandon. I am drenched with the rain of joy, each time. I laugh and laugh and laugh!

Necessary Talk

The good news must be transmitted. The Sound of Silence will not do it. The call to do apt work in translating God's love to actual words that can be received, pondered on and believed upon is crucial. How will they hear, if no one talks?

Numerical

Our days are numbered. Who holds the digits, however, becomes the determining factor. My days go by swiftly. My seventy or eighty are soon up and I will have to look back and recognize who held my cards. May I live well in God's wisdom.

Pure Word

Do not be afraid. Just Believe. When Christ calls me to anchor my journey upon His words, I have a choice to defect or to lean. I marvel on how faith find its way back to my wayward heart. God's ways are lavishly loyal. This is covenant love. Pure and simple.

Unrecycable

What has been forgiven and settled never goes back to the surface. That is, at least, what happens in God's kingdom. Down here, the tendency is to uncork the past and provide sophisticated catharsis. Nothing happens to this sort of remembering. Shun it.

Good Job

A task well done originates from a heart that knows exactly what needs to be done, why it has to be done, how it has to be done, when it must be done, and where it has to be done. All these components provide results that yield an appropriate applause.

The Way of Good Men

There is a highway that is broad and leads to a trap. There is a narrow one that leads to all that is blessed. It is called the way of good men. God makes them good, They are chosen and take full responsibility for their God-given endowment.

Door Keeper

It is better to be in God's house than to be somewhere else. Why? In God's house, there is a peace that shines like the noonday sun. Wisdom is served in lavish portions. Clouds give way to the unrivaled brilliance of God's abiding hope.

Love of God

The strength of God's love endures every challenge. There is no created entity that can pose any threat of hindrance to it. The focal point of His love is Jesus Christ, the incarnate expression of all that is there is to know about God and his heart.

Precious

When God's children trek towards home, it is a time of treasured significance. It is a time of measuring the integrity of God's covenant to His people. Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of His children. Ricky's mom is precious in the eyes of the Lord. Welcome Home.

Discretion

When the tongue is allowed to run its course without boundaries, it just takes off with no apparent thought of a goal. This is where the problem lies. The tongue is untamed. The heart must take control of its orbit, if life is to be sustained.

Out From The Depths

Ground zero takes place when God seeks to communicate what needs to be changed. He created all things and He is the only one who can reorder what is chaotic. When He hovers, it is a signal that Light is about to break through.

Risen

When the head droops and the shoulders stoop, weariness clouds the vision of hope. Until, grace comes from the throne of Christ, the true source of aid. I run to him. I stand up and rise up, strong. I look at myself in the mirror and I find the reflection of one more than a conqueror: I see the image of my Champion.

Morning Call

When one awakes and finds the presence of the Lord, the soul finds its calm. Home is where the heart belongs. When an entire nation is devastated by some earthquake, it must be awakened from its dream and led anew to life with God.

Verdant Mantle

God's covenant is firm. He will cause the righteous a life of perpetual lush. The man whose trust is in the Lord will yield fruits that are constantly good. He will stand glad for having trusted the True Gardener.

Unction

Oil badge. When God favors a man with a divine duty, all existing paradigms shift. God uses His terms to define the mechanics of how life yields abundance. A lay-off in the dungeon is actually a gateway to the parliament position. In famine, the Joseph miracle starts all over again.

Repair

When some thing breaks down, it seems easy to just dispose the non-functional entity. Repair does something different. What is broken is given a new lease. A fresh new beginning. A new way to demonstrate usefulness.

Strategic Favor

The sovereign character of God facilitates favor through the partnership of a careful plan. When God invites me to join Him in daily demonstrations of His apt power, it is just a matter of being there. That is the simple strategy: Be there for God.

Hands and Fingers

Training equips the soul of competence. In the arena of warfare, training guides the mind to execute impulses that spell the difference between victory and death. Who trains my hands and fingers? The One who trained David for Goliath.

Favored and Restored

The correlation between discipline and delight is unique. God expresses his delight by restoring the broken. Sin breaks. God heals. His grace moves with power towards His beloved. I am His beloved, by sheer grace and absolute mercy. Praise God!

Hold Fast

The steadfast love of the Lord remains. When I cry out to Him, he not only sustains me but restores me to a position of strength. His name is holy, I am redeemed by nothing but grace. I am able to walk, run, and fly because of my Master's amazing love. Oh, how truly sweet the sound!

Heart & Hand

To seek God is to seek integrity of heart and hands. When I say I love God and do that which is contrary to His character, I betray the fabric of my heart and hands. I am called to represent the Lord in the lucid aspects of His being.

Sabbath

Why is there a need for rest? Without a pause, the point of creation will be missed. Without rest, the energy of work will prove insufficient. There is so much to a pregnant comma: it prepares the servant for a well-prepared feast.

Plan

There exists a plethora of plans at any given moment. There is but one that originates from God's meeting room. It gets disseminated only to those whose hearts are fully convinced of its efficacy. The plans that come from this agenda room are brimming with hope and are all good!

Nudge

There are moments that one receives a direct call from a very still and small phone: the sound is hardly vocal and thus, easily dismissed. And yet, it is the link to what is truly wonderfully real. Heaven speaking. Earth responding.

Life Planner

An unplanned day equates to a weightless word. Go to the source of pure wisdom. He points to a future immersed in planned hope. What's the plan, today? Wholehearted communion. First day. Twenty-ten.
